"Jakub & Levi" is a transdisciplinary project developed for underutilized parish and community properties in the center of Unterretzbach. KLAIR - Dynamic Microclimate Intelligence for Sustainable Urban Development

KLAIR develops an AI-powered, dynamic urban climate map that simulates microclimatic stress as well as future scenarios such as greening or densification. By integrating climate, structural and health data, the tool enables evidence-based evaluation of adaptation measures and their health impacts. In this way, KLAIR supports cities of all sizes in climate-resilient, socially equitable and cost-efficient planning.

KLIK - Qualification program for climate-competent cities

The KLIK project aims to raise awareness and provide further training for all administrative staff in the climate pioneer cities on the topics of "basics of climate change mitigation and adaptation", "sustainable and circular urban planning","building culture", "energy spatial planning and urban mobility", and "green finance and the EU taxonomy". The digital education program empowers administrative staff to actively shape necessary changes and make their cities climate-resilient and future-proof.

KLIMADEMO VIS-A-VIS: Participatory realization of a climate-neutral demonstration building Vis-à-Vis

Participatory development of a pilot project at the interface between climate neutrality, affordability and multi-storey wooden housing based on well-founded decision-making bases in terms of renewable materials and renewable energies. The result is a multipliable carbon neutral building and the dissemination of carbon neutrality know-how to a larger audience.

KNP Lienz - Climate neutrality roadmap Lienz

The city of Lienz, with around 12,000 inhabitants, has been a climate alliance municipality for several years and is part of the e5 program. In addition, Lienz actively participates in the accompanying process of the BMIMI mission "Climate neutral city" and uses the peer-to-peer exchange with the pioneer cities to create synergies and transferable solutions.

KPQ goes NEB – Transformation of a Climate Pioneer Existing Neighborhood Using NEB Quality Criteria (Based on KPQ Graz)

With the "Climate Pioneer City Graz" (KPS Graz) project, the City of Graz is pursuing the strategic implementation of its climate protection plan by developing climate-neutral neighbourhoods, among other things. Based on the ongoing exploratory project "KPQ Graz", "KPQ goes NEB" focuses on the climate-neutral transformation of the Roseggersiedlung - a residential neighbourhood owned by Wohnen Graz dating back to the 1940s with 395 residential units. The aim is to transfer tried-and-tested development processes from new-build and conversion projects to the more complex environment of an existing neighbourhood.

KRAISBAU - Development of AI tools for a transformation to a circular economy along the life cycle of buildings

The BMK lead project KRAISBAU is a collaboration of 32 partners for the realization of a sustainable and circular construction industry. The project focuses on the development and implementation of AI-supported solutions in circular construction along the entire value chain. The knowledge gained is disseminated through factsheets, roadmaps and training courses with the aim of establishing scalable and efficient approaches for existing buildings.

It is a school town, a transport hub and a centre of attraction for industrial and commercial enterprises. The city has been actively involved in climate change adaptation for over 30 years.

The project aims to improve sustainable energy supply and energy efficiency for the planned NikolaiQuartier in Villach by utilizing waste heat and local energy sources. An innovative energy concept, which also includes the regional hospital, is being developed. Active involvement of residents and stakeholders is key to securing acceptance of the eco-friendly neighbourhood.

Klimagärten³ - Biodiverse, CO2-saving, close to nature: climate gardens³ for Austria's garden future

The Klimagärten³ project is dedicated to the climate-friendly design of gardens and green spaces in Austria. The focus is on activating the previously untapped climate protection potential of private and public gardens. Through research, practical trialling and social networking, ways are shown in which gardens can act as CO₂ sinks and strengthen biodiversity.
