By 2040, all areas of life and business in Krems should be climate neutral. To achieve this ambitious goal, a climate neutrality plan with concrete measures is being developed.

The "Krems2030" project focuses on several key areas. A climate and environment administrative unit will be established to efficiently coordinate the initiatives. The focus will also be on the topics of energy, mobility, buildings and the circular economy. Above all, the participation of citizens and business partners will play a major role in developing sustainable solutions together.

The vision of a climate-neutral city will be achieved through the optimization of municipal structures, raising public awareness of climate protection and improving cooperation with external partners. The city of Krems takes an integrative approach that involves all stakeholders and promotes innovative concepts.

The 'Climate Neutral City' project is developing a reliable climate roadmap for the city of Krems until 2030. The aim is to make Krems a pioneering city in climate protection, as the climate crisis affects our entire living environment.
