In collaboration with the state hospital operating company - KABEG, a climate neutrality roadmap for the Klagenfurt clinic district is being developed with scientific support from JOANNEUM RESEARCH Forschungsgesellschaft mbH.
KLARA Amstetten: Klimaneutralitätsfahrplan Amstetten – Roadmap to Action
For the first time, goals for a climate-neutral Amstetten are defined and the necessary climate protection and climate change adaptation measures are developed and fields of action are prioritised.
KLIK - Qualification program for climate-competent cities
The KLIK project aims to raise awareness and provide further training for all administrative staff in the climate pioneer cities on the topics of "basics of climate change mitigation and adaptation", "sustainable and circular urban planning","building culture", "energy spatial planning and urban mobility", and "green finance and the EU taxonomy". The digital education program empowers administrative staff to actively shape necessary changes and make their cities climate-resilient and future-proof.
KLIMADEMO VIS-A-VIS: Participatory realization of a climate-neutral demonstration building Vis-à-Vis
Participatory development of a pilot project at the interface between climate neutrality, affordability and multi-storey wooden housing based on well-founded decision-making bases in terms of renewable materials and renewable energies. The result is a multipliable carbon neutral building and the dissemination of carbon neutrality know-how to a larger audience.
Kapfenberg_2_zeroCO2 - Creation of the 2040 climate neutrality plan for the industrial city of Kapfenberg
For the industrial city of Kapfenberg in Upper Styria with over 22,000 residents, achieving climate neutrality is both challenging and necessary. The companies of Kapfenberg have been heavily reliant on fossil fuels. Implementation of climate protection measures is essential for their future viability and for maintaining a high quality of life for the population of Kapfenberg.
Kimoni – Artificial Intelligence for Monitoring the Performance of Green Infrastructure
Kimoni develops an AI-based tool for high-resolution analysis and assessment of Green Infrastructure for climate change adaptation. By combining satellite and geospatial data with machine learning, Kimoni provides a cost-efficient and scalable solution to comply with the EU Taxonomy and optimize climate-friendly investments.
KliB40-Climate Compass: Climate-neutral Bregenz 2040, climate compass for the structured participation of stakeholders and the citizens
The "KliB40 Climate Compass" supports Bregenz on its path to climate neutrality by 2040 through transparent development, selection, and monitoring of measures. It facilitates the coordination of climate protection activities and actively involves stakeholders. By evaluating existing software solutions, the project ensures optimal digital support for planning and implementing the city's climate strategy.
KlimaP Stockerau
The municipality of Stockerau, with a population of around 17,000, is the largest town in the Weinviertel region, located approximately 25 km north-west of Vienna. It is a school town, a transport hub and a centre of attraction for industrial and commercial enterprises. The city has been actively involved in climate change adaptation for over 30 years.
KlimaQuartierNikolai
The project aims to improve sustainable energy supply and energy efficiency for the planned NikolaiQuartier in Villach by utilizing waste heat and local energy sources. An innovative energy concept, which also includes the regional hospital, is being developed. Active involvement of residents and stakeholders is key to securing acceptance of the eco-friendly neighbourhood.
Klimagärten³ - Biodiverse, CO2-saving, close to nature: climate gardens³ for Austria's garden future
The Klimagärten³ project is dedicated to the climate-friendly design of gardens and green spaces in Austria. The focus is on activating the previously untapped climate protection potential of private and public gardens. Through research, practical trialling and social networking, ways are shown in which gardens can act as CO₂ sinks and strengthen biodiversity.
Klimapionierstadt Wien
Systemic learning, accelerated knowledge transfer and new capacities as well as innovative impulses and the more ambitious design of ongoing activities will help to align the processes of the Vienna City Administration in a way that best supports the achievement of climate neutrality and resilience by 2040.
