KlimaQuartierNikolai
The project aims to improve sustainable energy supply and energy efficiency for the planned NikolaiQuartier in Villach by utilizing waste heat and local energy sources. An innovative energy concept, which also includes the regional hospital, is being developed. Active involvement of residents and stakeholders is key to securing acceptance of the eco-friendly neighbourhood.
Klimapionierstadt Wien
Systemic learning, accelerated knowledge transfer and new capacities as well as innovative impulses and the more ambitious design of ongoing activities will help to align the processes of the Vienna City Administration in a way that best supports the achievement of climate neutrality and resilience by 2040. The Klimapionierstadt Wien Partnership also contributes to putting selected pilot neighbourhoods on the path to climate neutrality by 2030.
Kolpingquarter Salzburg - on site quarter energy supply with an optimized warmwater solution and grid serviceability
In a quarter on the site of the Kolpinghaus Salzburg, consisting of a youth residence and a hotel, energy optimizations and extensions are being carried out. This includes the construction of an affordable residential building for young people and families as well as the redesign of the overall energy supply of the neighborhood. The goals are to maximize the use of on-site renewable energy, phase out fossil fuel heat supply, interconnect the buildings, and optimize energy efficiency.
Köflach climate-neutral - a town with fossil history and climate neutral future
In recent decades, the city of Köflach has focused on structural change, moving away from the lignite mining that used to characterise the town and towards a sustainable future. Building on this, Köflach offers good conditions as an attractive residential location. The sustainable transformation of the town can be driven forward with consistent measures towards climate change-adapted living and climate-neutral energy supply, while at the same time strengthening the nationally recognised tourist destinations.
Lahof/Lanserhofsiedlung - Path to Zero CO2 - climate-neutral demonstration building in relation to the neighbourhood
The aim is to develop and implement an innovative, climate-neutral neighbourhood concept with various sustainable energy and building technology components. A central element here is the climate-neutral demonstration building in timber construction. This building is equipped with thermal component activation in solid wood and combines innovative energy concepts such as wastewater heat recovery, large photovoltaic systems and a hydrogen system for seasonal energy storage.
